The objective of this course is basicly to support students in understanding the topics of other DDM lectures, where mathematical concepts and techniques are required. To this end, we'll
1. repeat some basic concepts of engineering maths which were (hopefully) already presented in the basic maths courses in your bachelor studies and
2. present some more advanced and important techniques of numerical mathematics which are not commonly presented within a bachelor curriculum in engineering sciences, but which are part of the DDM master course curriculum.
